Student Biography

                                        Peter Thiel is a current student at the Pennsylvania State                                           University pursuing a Bachelor of Architectural                                                              Engineering within the Construction Option. Thiel, now in                                             his fifth and final year of the program, will graduate in May                                         of 2017. 

 

                                        For the past two summers Thiel participated in two                                                       internships with B & J Excavating of Dowingtown, Pennsylvania. B & J is known as Downingtown’s premier excavating contractor providing excellent work and earning a reputation of being timely, cost-efficient, and reliable for more than 20 years. At B & J, Thiel worked within the estimating department earning valuable experience in the pricing, bidding, and management of a project site. Thiel was able to have a first hand experience in the workings of a jobsite from bidding to handover and everything in between.

 

In his spare time, Thiel is a member of the Penn State Men’s Club Lacrosse team. A member since his freshman year, Thiel played many roles on the team including team captain and Vice President. Much of his work as VP involved managing practice and team events.
